Happy Halloween! Are you excited for Trick or Treating tonight? My son isn’t feeling well, so we are trying to get him rested, and hopefully better by this evening to be able to go out for a little bit. He’s been anxiously waiting for MONTHS to go! Poor buddy.
Since were just sitting at home waiting for it to get dark, I wanted to share this treat board I made for a family Halloween party we went to. I have been following a few Instagram accounts that have been creating some of the most amazing charcuterie boards. These posts (and Pinterest) inspired me to do my own spin on one, and it was a hit at the party. I barely got a picture of it before it was demolished!
The great thing about these boards are they are so easy to put together, and its minimal clean up! I had an idea of what I wanted to put on it, but I didn’t realize how many things would be out of stock! I searched all over for the little ghost Peeps, Halloween Oreos, and candy corn… but I couldn’t find them! Since when does Target and Walmart run out of those things?! I’m still happy with how it turned out, and I’m excited to make boards like this for Thanksgiving and Christmas! I’ll just have to shop a little earlier for the things I want to put on them!
What I used for my Treat Board:
-Plastic rat decor
-Pack of spiders
-Dried Bananas from Trader Joe’s
-Candy Corn flavored m&m’s (Soooo good!)
-Bat & Ghost veggie chips
-Ghost & Pumpkin Shaped Peeps
-Halloween themed Hershey Kisses
-Halloween shaped Gummy Candy teeth, frogs, etc.
I purchased most of my snacks/treats at Target, but amazon has some really cute platters/cutting boards to serve them on that are very affordable!
What would you put on your Halloween treat board?
